App Terms and Conditions

These legal terms and conditions are provided in connection with the Barclays Corporate app and apply to your use of it. Please read these terms and conditions before registering and using the Barclays Corporate app. By accepting and continuing below, and/or by using the Barclays Corporate app, you agree to these terms and conditions, the Barclays Customer Agreement relevant to you or the organization that you represent and the specific Privacy Policy relevant to you or the organization that you represent. The Privacy Policy relevant to you can be accessed here if your accounts are held with Barclays Corporate Bank and here if your accounts are held with Barclays UK (our retail bank).

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice and your continued access to or use of the Barclays Corporate app will constitute your acceptance of any such changes.

    Before you use the Barclays Corporate app

    For the purpose of these instructions, “you” means (i) a Barclays Customer which has access to the Barclays Corporate app (a “Corporate Customer”), and/or (ii) an employee or other representative (a “User”) of a Corporate Customer which has been provided with access rights for the Barclays Corporate app by the –systems administrator of the Corporate Customer, as the case may be.

    References to "we", "us" or "our" are references to, as applicable:

    1. Barclays Bank PLC, registered in England with company number: 1026167; and
    2. Barclays Bank UK PLC, registered in England with company number: 09740322

    The Registered Office for both Barclays legal entities is: 1 Churchill Place, London E14 5HP.

    You must read these terms and conditions before using the Barclays Corporate app. It is an important document as it sets out instructions and obligations that must be complied with in order to use the Barclays Corporate app. If you do not comply with these terms and conditions you must immediately cease use of the Barclays Corporate app. In addition, the Corporate Customer that you represent may be in breach of their Barclays Customer Agreement. Barclays products and services may also be subject to additional terms and conditions which govern their use.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that you are fully aware of the requirements contained in these terms and conditions, including any obligations to:

  • comply with applicable law and licence terms in relation to the use of the Barclays Corporate app.
  • prevent unauthorised use of the Barclays Corporate app. This means not sharing mobile devices or access to the app itself with any other person.
  • not cause damage to, or compromise, any Barclays systems.
  • not use the Barclays Corporate app or any other electronic service or technology to interfere with or disrupt devices, servers, networks, property or services of any third party.
  • obtain all relevant consents concerning the use of the Barclays Corporate app.

You must immediately inform Barclays in the event you become aware of any failure to comply with these terms and conditions.

Responsibility for internet and network provider costs

Your internet or network service provider may charge you for using data on your smartphone or tablet. It is your responsibility to pay these charges.

Using the Barclays Corporate app in the right way

You must ensure that you:

  • Only use the app to access and service the Corporate Customer bank accounts that you have been authorised to access and service.
  • Don’t use the app to upload or store inappropriate or illegal images or content that breaches the rights of others.
  • Don’t attempt to make any income directly from using the app.
  • Don’t use the app to do anything illegal.
  • Don’t use the app in a way that could damage it or stop it from working or affect our systems – for example, by hacking into or inserting malicious code into the Barclays Corporate app or iOS, Android or other operating systems.
  • Don't use the app or any other electronic service or technology to interfere with or disrupt devices, servers, networks, property or services of any third party – for example, by hacking into or inserting malicious code into iOS, Android or other operating systems.
  • Notify us immediately if you know or suspect that there has been unauthorised use of the Barclays Corporate app or if the mobile device which the app has been downloaded onto has been lost or stolen, or a password or procedure is no longer secret or has been misused.
  • Don’t collect any information or data from the app or our systems or try to read any messages or information not meant for you.
  • Make sure you comply with any applicable laws and licence terms that apply to you in the way you use the app.
  • Never share your app passcode with another user.
  • Never leave the app open on an unlocked device, where another person could gain access to it.
  • Review and manage your list of registered mobile devices on a regular basis.
  • Do not use devices that are vulnerable because of non-standard operating system installations as these could present a security risk.
  • Notify us as soon as possible if the contact details for you or any Corporate Customer or User change.

No Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates and service providers will accept no liability in any event including (without limitation) on account of our (or our affiliates’ or service providers’) negligence for any damages or loss of any kind, including (without limitation) direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, expenses or losses arising out of, or in connection with your use or inability to use the Barclays Corporate app.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates and service providers do not accept any liability whatsoever in any event including (without limitation) on account of our (or our affiliates’ or service providers’) negligence, in connection with any inaccuracy, incompleteness, error, omission, defect, computer virus or system failure, or any decision made or action taken in reliance of any contents of the Barclays Corporate app, or loss of any profit, goodwill or reputation.
  • The foregoing paragraphs apply even if we are expressly advised of the possibility of such loss or damages, or such loss or damages arise out of or in connection with the access of, use of, performance of, browsing in or linking to other sites or apps from the Barclays Corporate app.
  • You agree to indemnify Barclays and our affiliates for any loss that we may suffer as a result of your breach of these terms and conditions. You will also be responsible for any reasonable legal costs that arise as a result of our losses.

How the Barclays Corporate app accesses information about you

The Barclays Corporate app will need to access device, network and location information from your mobile device to work, including (without limitation) geo-location data which we determine is necessary or appropriate for security and crime prevention purposes. For further information, please refer to the Cookies Policy and Privacy Policy relevant to you.

Changes to the Barclays Corporate app

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Barclays Corporate app or any part of it, with or without notice, at any time. You agree that we and our affiliates and service providers shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any such modification, suspension or discontinuance of our app.

From time to time, we may also update the Barclays Corporate app. Depending on what the update is you may not be able to use the Barclays Corporate app until you have installed the latest version and accepted the new terms and conditions related to it. We may let you know via your phone or tablet when there’s a new version to download. We recommend that you update the Barclays Corporate app when we tell you that new versions are available.

We may in our sole discretion terminate your access to or use of the Barclays Corporate app for any reason, including (without limitation) where we believe that you have not acted in accordance with these terms and conditions, the Barclays Customer Agreement or any other terms or policies applicable to the Barclays Corporate app.
